about me
Meet the Therapist
Melody Nicholas MA, LCMHC, NCC, CCMHC
Founder & Therapist, Oliva Wellness
I’m not just a therapist. I’m also a woman, a mother, and a wife.
As someone who has been fortunate enough to have spent close to half a century on this planet, I’ve experienced my fair share of joy, challenges, and transformative moments.
I don’t just talk about the challenges women face;
I’ve walked through many of them myself.
connected ✦ confident ✦ unapologetically you
I understand the quiet pressure that lingers after you see another perfect post on social media.
I recognize the subtle shame that can sneak in,
the whispers of doubt we hear about what a good body, or a real mother, should look like.
I’ve juggled the demands of raising a family, maintaining a partnership, and finding balance,
all while navigating the ever-present noise of cultural expectations.
Life in all its beautiful complexity has tested me, taught me, and, most importantly,
given me countless opportunities to grow.
Therapy with me is…
Empathy rooted in real experience
I get it because I’ve lived it. My guidance is relatable, actionable, and judgment-free.
You’ll be met with genuine understanding, not just clinical insight, so you can feel truly seen and supported.
Fierce advocacy for you and your well-being
Your well-being is not just a priority. It’s my mission. I cheer you on, help you challenge harmful beliefs, and celebrate every win (big and small).
Together, we’ll make space for your needs in a world that often asks you to put yourself last.creativity, wit, and lightness when it matters most
Healing is hard work, so I believe in using humor and creativity to lighten the process and make it more enjoyable.
Growth doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time. It can also feel lighter, more human, and even like something you can laugh about.
proven tools tailored to you
Drawing on years of lived and professional experience, I offer a diverse toolkit of evidence-based treatments to help you break cycles, reframe stories, and reclaim your confidence.
Your care is never one-size-fits-all. It’s thoughtfully tailored to what actually works for you.
